Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar (1996) Review

Wake up, rockers, it's time to go dark...very dark, because crawling through your skin like goose bumps while inspiring your worst imaginable nightmares, is the very savage, Antichrist Superstar, in at #n46.

Released in 1996, Antichrist Superstar is the second studio album by American industrial metal band, Marilyn Manson. The album was both a critical and commercial success. Rolling Stone credited Antichrist Superstar with bringing to an end the dominance of grunge within popular music. In the years since its release, it has been heralded by numerous publications as a modern classic and essential listening.

Metacritic gave this album a very impressive score of 92/100, and Ranker currently has it placed at #2 on their list of 'Greatest Industrial Metal Albums'. This album is regarded by most fans as the band's best album, but where does this savage piece of industrial metal rank on your list of great albums in the '90s? Is it worthy of its place on our list, or should it be even higher?
